Chicken is so versatile that it can be enjoyed fried, minced, steamed, grilled … it can also be made into chicken floss for a tasty and convenient snack! It is a kind of meat pine with a light and fluffy texture similar to coarse cotton. Commonly topped on congee or stuffed in soft buns, chicken floss can be a savoury snack eaten on its own or a dish complement that adds flavour to a dish. As a poultry meat product, chicken floss contains high protein, low fat, low cholesterol and low calorie, a healthy snack and side dish favoured by consumers.
Firstly, heat water with ginger and MAGGI® CukupRasa™ in a pot and bring some chicken meat to cook. After the chicken is thoroughly cooked, drain the water and shred the cooked chicken by hand or with a hand mixer; then set it aside. Next, prepare the flavouring for your chicken floss. Blend some ginger, onion, garlic, chilli, lettuce, coriander seeds with oil. After that, sauté the blended ingredients until fragrant. Add in some fennel, coriander powder, kaffir lime leaves, water, palm sugar, coconut milk and tamarind juice. Mix it well and simmer until slightly dry. Proceed to add in the shredded chicken and mix well. Lastly, add the kerisik and MAGGI® Cukup Rasa ™, then mix well until dry for a light and fluffy texture.
